Who we are
Sailing Association Euros is the oldest and most sociable student (sports) association in Enschede. With us, you can learn to sail, but experienced sailors can also find their place with us, for example in races or on long adventures on the open sea. We have a beautiful and diverse fleet, ranging from smaller dinghies to a fully seaworthy yacht that sails to distant places like Spain and Finland.
In addition to sailing, we also have plenty of fun events. Throughout the year, you'll find us on Wednesdays at our pub, "De Sevende Camer," where we gather to enjoy dinner and drinks together. We also host larger annual events like Sinterklaas evening, an elaborate Christmas dinner, the Friesland Zwerf Week, and offshore sailing vacations.
Besides sports and socializing, you can broaden your organizational skills by joining committees, and even doing a board year is one of the many possibilities. During the Kick-In, you can find us every day at nearly all the events, where you can recognize us by our bright red t-shirts. Feel free to approach us to get acquainted and take a ride on our boats. Introduction weekend
Our introduction programme gives you the opportunity to get to know our association, our members, and the sport of sailing. During the weekend (??), we will sail with some of our boats along with a bunch of rental boats. During the weekend we will discover Friesland from the water.
The costs for the complete weekend will be 75 euros. This will include amongst others food, accommodation and others costs. However, canned drinks and the train ticket costs will not be included in this price.
We will take the train on Friday afternoon/evening from Enschede to Friesland. We will get aboard the boats and the next morning we will set sail to enjoy the biggest lakes of the Netherlands. During the weekend we will sleep, eat and drink onboard the boats. On Sunday afternoon/evening we will take the train back to Enschede. Besides this sailing activity we will have drinks at our own bar, de Sevende Camer. Before the weekend there will be a drink to get to know each other before the sailing weekend. You can enroll yourself to these activities.
